Tasting Notes

The wine exhibits intense and elegant aromas dried prunes, cured cherries and bitters. The intensely warm palate feels like a vigorous handshake and a caress at the same time.

Winemaker Notes

This extremely limited production of a great California Port-Style wine was handcrafted years before Europa Village was even established by a highly regarded Temecula winemaker. The wine was lovingly aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 11 years then blended and bottle aged an additional two years. We are very excited to release it now.

Food Pairing Notes

This delicious, fortified wine is perfect on its own or as an accompaniment to chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate...don't like chocolate you say? Try it with hearty cheeses and assorted nuts.
